Cara Jennings Wins Re-election in Lake Worth
Propels Progressive Shift in Lake Worth Commission
Cara Jennings, Palm Beach Green, is still commissioner in Lake Worth, Florida (Palm Beach county). Earning 56% of the vote through an outstanding, organized grassroots effort involving Palm Beach Greens along with other citizens and activists, Florida Green Cara Jennings won re-election in the non-partisan race for Commissioner in Lake Worth on November 18th.
This time it was a clear victory for Cara. She won her seat the first time in a runoff.
With her seat secured, Cara and her supporters immediately sought support for Suzanne Mulvehill who was competing in a runoff race for the remaining seat on the Commission.
Defeat for "Ol' Boys Network." Mulvehill's subsequent 59% victory over bank manager Dave Vespa now gives a 3:2 edge for progressives in Lake Worth.
